Leesburg Celtic Festival

The leesburg Celtic Festival was a great place to go and relax and check out all the men in skirts

They had re-enactments of different periods of Celtic life, such as this one from 550 AD

The local smithy sure looked authentic, even if he did have all his fingers

The Welsh regulars (lots of fiber I suppose)

Here we see the local high school Celtic band drawing raving crowds (crowds to be inserted later)

One of the great things about Celtic life is the music and the jig dance

While the jig can be a solitary dance it is often performed in groups

The jig can be done professionaly...

And the jig can be done unprofessionally

Well...maybe amateurish is a better word

Or maybe just listed as public humiliation

Fun for the whole family, whether dancing or watching

Music is obviously the corner stone of this festival, and some of the bands were quite good

A modern day Celtic Bard

Not sure if this is the Pied Piper or not, can't tell if people are following him or leaving!
