Okay before passing blame I just want it to be clear that I did not do this. So I was driving in my neighborhood today and saw this custom paint job, and just had to ask “what did this person do to cause this much hate?” Was it a spurned lover? A rival in a gang? For some reason I think it was a woman, since there was no bashed out windows or headlights…but regardless, a whole lotta hate!
Man….now I am not one to be afraid of clowns, but when I saw this guy on the street I got the willys! You can’t see his profile that well, but if you were at the circus he would be the long sad faced clown hitting the other clowns on the head. And the lettering on his car falling off just gives more impression that you should not leave him with your kids.
So tonight I went on a pub crawl in DC. Now first you have to understand that I went on a pub crawl with the local rugby team. Sounds manly, yes? Well next understand that it was a prodominatly gay rugby team and all the bars we went to were gay bars. Luckily I am family friendly and my bud Jim was there, so obviously good times were had. The close up pic shows Kevin, Jim and Troy.
So stood in line for awhile but finally got my autographs. Its not a big name convention, but unique in the guests.
This year we have Penny Johnson Jared (from 24 and Deep Space 9) and Harve Bennett (director of Star Trek II, III, IV).
And Penny made my day by complimenting me on my smile…then ruining it by saying I was like a giant Teddy Bear.

So here I sit listening to Judy lynn Nye and Robert Asprin, two of my favorite fantasy writers. I have been following Roberts Myth books for almost 20 years (he took about 10 off in the middle, burnout). I was so happy to hear the the Henson studio just optioned the film rights for the books. These would translate really well onto the screen, especially with current technology.

I am happy that the convention is not bowing to imperial pressure this year. All attendies, even the stormtroopers are having to pay full admission price.

Here we see Lord Vader campaigning for Emperor. I am sure he is using some Jedi mind trick on these poor children as they seem to be happy to see him.
I just love the companies out here on the east coast. Back in Oklahoma we only had A+ Plumbing and other boring names like that. This companys name says it all!
So another polar plunge is over. We are all tired, kinda cold and ready to relax. Jared brought his guitar out and sang for us, great end to a great day.
We get out of the water and start heading back to the rescue squad hq. We couldn’t get a ride in the ambulance this time, they had picked up one of the plungers who may have had a heart attack. Man in his late 20′s who upon hitting the water had a tightness in his chest and he threw up (glad he went in after me). He seemed okay but they took him to the hospital to be sure.
So instead we rode back in the back of one of the Rescue 14′s pickups. I think Jenny thought she was a prom queen the way she was waving. And Summer almost lost her wig.
