Okay…so I have had enough of the harping. I have posted all of my pictures from my recent trip to China. At this time most do not all have comments, so just enjoy the visual goodness while I try to play catchup with comments on some 920 pictures! Now quit buggin me!
Johnny’s China Adventure
OH, and they were all resized to 640×480 to make load times better. I still have all the originals at the LARGE size in case anyone is interested.
Today was the Shenandoah hot air balloon & wine festival. Nestled in a lovely valley near Milwood, VA, this is their 10th anniversary but the first for me.
It was a perfect fall day, cool and crisp with the fall colors coming in strong. The event was based on the grounds of the Long Branch House Museum. I had planned on touring the house but we had so much else to do it will just have to wait till next year.
There were a ton of people with lots of kids. With plenty of food vendors, local businesses and crafts there was enough to keep everyone busy. I was lucky to be joined by my good friend Jen. A little deja vu since 6 years ago we met for the first time (in person) at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. This of course was no where near the size but it had plenty of local charm. I saw about 10 balloons go up, including one setup that had a guy harnessed to a bunch of weather balloons.
The wine fest had about 12 different local vineyards to choose from. We hopped around and tried about 4-5 before getting our fill. The Horton winery really impressed us with their fruit wines.
It was a delightful day and I look forward to next year.

So, I have been asked on a daily basis where my story is and all the pics from the trip. To my surprise the task of transcribing my notes is taking a LOT longer than I thought. I am talking hours of typing and only passing a couple of days worth of story. As for the pics, there are over 1200 that will be posted and I am almost done there, hope to have something over the weekend. Thanks for bearing with me!
Well friends I am sitting in Newark waiting for my connecting flight to Dulles right now. Only a couple of hours from home and I am starting to feel it. I am almost dreading the task ahead of my in transcribing my notes from the trip and indexing my some 700 pics (no, not all will be posted). But I hope it will be interesting when I am done. Talk to everyone soon!
Okay, so I have been gone a week but have not done any updates. Fact is I have had my days and nights packed the entire time. And since it costs to blog from my phone (breaking that rule this once) I have been trying to find a cyber cafe with no luck so far. But I have tons of photos and have been keeping a journal longhand on the trip. So when the opportunity comes I will update the whole trip. Until then I am doing great and having a blast.
