I do love movies. Not only the fantasy and release you get from a good film, but the actual technical side of creating it. Here is a good little Youtube video I found of 3 graphic designers who spent a day filming themselves on Omaha Beach and from that created the massive D-Day landing with some movie magic. D-Day on a budget

Whats really funny is I sent this link to my boss and he had them last night with his family.

On occasion I will be out and about and find something quite amusing, thus taking a picture. Usually I then post the pic on the blog…but I have been rather slack lately. Here are 3 I have taken over the last few months.

Gone Fishin’
I saw this while in Harrisburg, PA last year. Some guy heading out to do a little fishing with his boat in tow trunk! It was secure so I didn’t worry about him dumping it after taking a quick corner, but I still kept a polite distance.

Sanitary Seat
Took this at some random truck stop that I gassed up at. While I try not to flood my friends with images of toilets, this peaked my interest. I think everyone is familiar with the paper doily that is provided in most public restrooms for the toilet seat. Well this technological innovation has this wax paper type covering that you just press the button on the side to have a new layer rolled out onto the seat for you.
But just like those hand crank cloth towels you find in bathrooms…my mind always wonders if when you get a new sheet to use, how do you know its not the same sheet that the 5th person back used?

Ahh…what is more festive than Chinese food for the holidays. Well this sign may have some slight grammar errors, but if it wasn’t for the fact that it is on the window of a restaurant I might get confused with the offering. Or maybe its for the massage parlor next door?!

Well I hope that all my friends out in cyberland are having a great New Years Eve. Me, I am at home in bed all sickly. Not a fun time, let me tell ya!

I still have a lot of NYE’s ahead of me, so I don’t worry about missing one. So I hope that everyone takes a minute to remember all the good things from 2007, and all the bad things. While it is never much fun to remember the bad, it is healthy to know what happened so you don’t repeat it in the future.
