So I have FINALLY managed to put my 2004 photos in their appropriate albums and ready for viewing.
Also, my 2005 DragonCon pics are up, I still have my regular film photos to get developed, but at least all the digitals are up for viewing. Enjoy!

So another year has past and DragonCon is behind me. And while I may be King over all I observe, I still brood until the next great Con to battle.

Who would have imagined catching this great band playing at the convention. I hung around for a couple of songs, but the body was starting to crash.

Oh no…its some weird crossover where the Star Wars universe meets DC Comics. And here Batman and Robin were recruited by the Empire…shocking!

So tonight was the big costume contest here at DragonCon. There were almost 100 people in it this year with everything from little babys to giant robots.
As always there were great, good, ehh, and what-were-they-thinking. When an act got long or just bad, the stormtrooper would come out to escort them off the stage. This was not always just, and should probably be looked at by the director closer in the future.
I am only posting a few photos right now and will upload the rest when I get home to my gallerys.

So of course every convention has to have a decent huksters room. Those fans need their tacky shirts, games, jewelry, leather work (heh) and books. This show has two large rooms of which to find stuff from all over.
After coming to these things for over 20 years I rarely find anything that peaks my interest, but plenty do.

So this years charity auction is being handled by Kevin Sorbo (Hercules and Andromeda). Due to this there are 3 times the normal people here, so the bragins may be tough.
Of course Kevin brought a lot of things from his shows to give to charity. First item up was a leather coat from the open of Planet Holywood in Sydney (see the pic). It sold for $1400. Sigh…some people have way more money than sense.

So…its late morning now and I am just getting around. What a long day…didnt get to sleep till 1am and boy I slept hard.
Jim went back to the room after we left Vics. In fact the pic of me with the drink was his drink that I was finishing. So for the rest of the night I was out on my own.
Now I have a few pics to share from last night but not to many. See from 8pm till midnight, much of the Hyatt is off limits to cameras. There is a good balcony to stand on to look down and take pics. Its a distance so much of the pics are dark..sorry.
We have pics of people in tetris costumes, 4 nearly naked guys with Devo hats on, two battling silver robots and a where’s Waldo shot.
The places where I could not take pics had sexy women wearing next to nothing, not so sexy women wearing next to nothing and poke-my-eyes-out I didn’t want to see that people. But it is just so cool to see all these people just letting their hair down and enjoying themselves.

Okay…before you comment on my pic…yes, I have had "a few".
So tonight we dine at Trader Vics. This is a great old chain of Tiki restaurants and bars. And let me tell you, they do not skimp on the rum. So I hope that your evening is as good as mine.
Oh and Jim says "hi".

Every now and then I go to a con that has a guest that just knocks my socks off. This time it is Dean Stockwell. This man has acted in over 130 movies and tons of TV. I was a fan as a kid and really liked his quirky character on Quantum Leap.
Its neat listening to him talk about all the great old movies he was on, the actors he has worked with over the years and all his history. And I come to find out he is a huge Dave Mathews Band fan. Crazy!
