Symbol
The bald Eagle symbolizing America…in a cage. Much like our liberties, our keepers have decided that it is best to keep us caged up for our own safety of course.
(hmm…perhaps to deep for an outing to the zoo post)
Zoo Flowers
Not sure what kind of tree this is, but it has some of the prettiest pink/white flowers I have ever seen. There were quite a few of the trees around the Zoo and on the grounds leading to the zoo from the Metro.
Just found out that this is the Kousa Dogwood (thanks Wendi!)
